Workshops that REALLY work!

Over a forty-year period I have done literally hundreds of workshops, first as student of success, then as a teacher and now as a master.

I always try to over deliver and I know from experience that you can give people a huge amount of valuable information on the day, let them take it away and assimilate it, and if you get it right, they will start to turn their lives around very quickly. We’ve now been getting it right for years!

The two workshops we are going ballistic with at the moment are ULTIMATE MIND POWER – 7 Keys to Realizing your Dreams and CASH FLOW MAGIC – The Real Secrets of Multiple Streams of Income. These are by no means expensive and a full day, including refreshments, lunch and workshop materials.

You can even come to a taster double seminar on a London based yacht for £20, which includes coffee, cake and some FREE books! Turn you life around NOW!

It’s good to scratch around, to become wealthy!

Sunday, March 28th, 2010

As a young lad we used to keep chickens in our back yard. We’d get regular eggs and every now and my dad would kill a chicken and roast it. My old dad made the point that chickens never go to bed hungry, they keep scratching around, all day long if necessary until they have had their fill.

In tough economic climates this is what you have to do. It really is a case of the survival of the fittest and you need to have your wits about you and keep scratching around. Go where the money is; get into something different, don’t keep do the same old thing over and over again especially if it isn’t working.

Maybe you’re one of thousands who have been hooked on easy Internet riches. Let me tell you, don’t be fooled. The people who make the money during the ‘gold rush’ are those selling the spades, shovels and picks and selling beer and other dubious services to the prospectors. Have wake up call and realize the Internet has millions and millions of businesses for you to compete against. It is the most competitive market place in the world – and very difficult and costly one to crack!

My best advice? Get a life! Start making money in retailing or selling or manufacturing and make yourself a pile doing something you can do – and then come back to Internet Marketing from a position of strength. It’ll still be there, believe me, and hopefully you’ll not only be richer, but wiser as well!

‘Focus’ on Wealth Creation

Thursday, March 11th, 2010

I know that I have addressed this before but I still see far too many people using up their precious days on unproductive trivia and not getting down to the business of making money and creating wealth.

A good exercise is to indulge in just a little self-analysis to see where the hours in a day go and only you can do this if you are brutally honest with yourself. I think it is highly likely that you may be using up a lot of precious time answering emails (many of them petty) and Facebook and other Internet activities that are like a hypnotic drug and you wake up to find valuable ‘wealth creating hours’ have just vanished. Try to find a way to answer email maybe just once or twice a day and then spend the rest of your time selling, in confrontation time with qualified clients, pitching them on an absolute specific sales proposition. Spend time developing your product or marketing plans and increasing sales – relentlessly. If you still have time over, don’t default back into Internet mode, but look at ways of slashing your overheads and keep doing this every business day for the rest of your life. If you’ve still got time to spare go deep go into your mind and start picturing exactly where you want to go, big picture stuff. Stop kidding yourself and start dreaming!

Top Ten Tips for Successful C.V. Writing

Friday, February 19th, 2010

Match the CV to the Job. The need for an effective C.V. has increased as working patterns have evolved in recent years. With the “job-for-life” culture vanishing even directly employed people are becoming “serial monogamists”. And with each new partner we have to adapt ourselves, and our C.V.

Standard Format. When there’s a lot of competition for a job it can be tempting to submit your application in some eye-catching design. Will this make your C.V. stand out from all the others landing on the C.E.O.s desk? Probably. Will it get you an interview? Probably not. Even in so-called creative industries a gimmicky layout and multi-coloured paper is more likely to irritate than impress. It suggests the style of the C.V. is compensating for the inadequacies of its content.

So What is the Standard Format? It can vary slightly in different industries, but a rule of thumb would be to keep it to one page. Put your name, contact details and date of birth at the top. Then detail your educational background. Follow with your employment history with current or most recent job first. Then it’s special skills and attainments and hobbies and interests.

Should I Mention My Salary? In the U.K. it’s not customary to put your current salary or what figure you’re seeking on a C.V. That’s something to be discussed at interview. If you do mention amounts you run two risks: if your present salary seems too low to a prospective employer you may be regarded as not worth the job on offer. On the other hand they may not feel able to match your current income and don’t give you the chance at interview to explain why you merit that kind of money.

Use Key Words. Don’t forget the difference language can make. Put a positive spin on all aspects of your experience. For example when describing your duties at former employers, don’t simply say you “did” this, that or the other. Instead use phrases like “undertook responsibility for…” and “played a key role in…”

Say It How They Want To Hear It. This means matching your language to the job description. If the job advertisement asks for someone with experience of selling at director level, then don’t mess about with irrelevant detail about how you once sold an insurance policy to a vice-chairman over a chance meeting in a pub. The fact is you’ve done what they’re asking for, so tell them in their own terms.

Relate the C.V. to the Position You’re Seeking. This goes back to number one and is of prime importance. You must prioritise those aspects of your experience which will be of most value to your new boss. Maybe you only did a tiny bit of export documentation in a previous post and you’re applying to a firm specialising in that field. Write a C.V. that makes those relevant skills immediately clear and more prominent than anything else

Blow Your Own Trumpet. It’s not immodest to mention any particular achievements in your C.V. If you don’t tell a prospective employer about your added value, who else is going to? Alongside each former job description, list any sales awards, prizes, nominations or special attainments.

The Honesty Factor. A recent survey found that a high percentage of people gave false information on their C.V. Though how do we know the respondents were telling the truth! If you’re tempted to be economical with the truth on your C.V. in order to land a job remember this: You may not be found out immediately, but if (when) you are, the negative effect on your career may be serious. If you accentuate the positive in your C.V. there is no need for dishonesty.

Short, Sweet and Persuasive. C.V. writing like anything else is an art. A minimalist art. If the definition of poetry is “saying something important in the shortest number of words” then a good C.V. fits this description perfectly. In an ever-changing world, with busy companies trying to keep pace and fill the evolving demands of the workplace the C.V. has almost become the equivalent of a business card.

Harness Mind Power – Wealth Creation!

Thursday, February 18th, 2010

Over thirty years ago, when I owned the largest chain of motorcycle shops in South London I got into serious financial difficulties. Fortuitously for me, I met an astute old Irishman by the name of Seamus O’Rourke, affectionately known as Paddy or Jim. He quickly encouraged me to start brainstorming, thinking, bending my mind to things and I would suggest to you that the sooner you start to harness the billion neurons in your own biocomputer, as well as those billions of cells in other peoples brains, the sooner you too will be on the road to riches. Jim pointed out to me that by selling new motorcycles we were making about 17% profit but on second-hand motorcycles about 117% profit. Many times you get to close to your own business, but by brainstorming and thinking and harnessing your mind your can move onward and upward, sometimes very quickly. By phasing out the new motorcycle sales and ramping up second hand sales my mini empire started to turn the financial corner.

Luckily for me, Jim applied mind power on a daily basis, and very quickly we brainstormed ourselves into an even more profitable situation. Jim pointed out that 117% was great, but he said, “Let’s carry out an exercise on the profit margins when we break up wrecked bikes and sell them for spares.” We were both delighted to realise bikes we got in as scrap, often for pennies, generated an average of 1117% profit. Oh! La! La! Very quickly we owned Aladdin’s Cave at Hampton Court, the largest motorcycle breakers in the country…and never looked back.

Between us we harnessed more mind power by taking on a number of salesmen who were paid a very low basic wage but very high commissions, based on sales. We created a true win-win situation. This freed up our time and I suggested to Jim we set up a consultancy business to run alongside the retail empire. With cost effective adverts like, ‘Cash Flow Problems – Creditors Putting on Pressure’ strategically placed in magazines like Exchange & Mart, we very quickly had the phones ringing off the hook. We spent our days in the bike shops and evenings driving up and down the country helping SMEs slash overheads, pace creditors and massively increase their profit margins. We taught cost effective marketing and also taught our clients how to harness their own and other peoples mind power. I wrote my first book about this valuable business experience and called it GET OUT DEBT AND INTO THE MONEY…now re-titled Debt Free with Financial Kung Fu featuring Peter Hobday and Valerie Singleton and it still pulls in royalties some 32 years on, as a MP3 download and CD pack.

Over the years I have come to realise that the people who make it big, do so by harnessing mind-power, intuitively, accidentally or intentionally. I don’t know how many millionaires I helped create over the years – but it’s lots, and they all harnessed mind power. People like Andy Hunt who owns ClearSky Properties who is now a multimillionaire with homes all over the world, will tell you that I gave him paradigm shift, that changed his thinking and his life forever. Robert Frater caught on after reading Talk & Grow Rich and harnessing the power of meditation and visualization and went from literally owning nothing to becoming a millionaire, who incidentally is now writing a business book of his own and Clive Branson became world champion fisherman after one mind power session with me.

So just how does one harness mind power and start wealth creation? You read the right books, study and talk to people. Start to realise that the ‘Real Secret’ is within your own mind. You need to tap into latent powers and you do this by practicing goal setting, meditation, visualization, and brainstorming. You need to start capturing and writing down the little ideas and hunches that start coming to you as a result of these practices and then start acting on those ideas when they do arrive. ACTION is the key to the brains ignition and combined with mind power techniques you’ll switch your biocomputer ON and it will become an infallible tool for generating massive wealth creation, money making ideas and solutions to problems. You will have arrived!

Are you really visualizing? Is what you are doing working!?

Sunday, February 14th, 2010

Having spent over forty years in the self-help arena I am somewhat qualified to talk in detail about the subject of Visualization. Having given literally thousands of workshops on the subject and all talked to thousands of those attendees on the way, I  have some extremely valuable observations.

For a start Visualization works and it works brilliantly – for those who use it properly and apply it. But in my experience, most people just read books about it, attend the workshops and don’t really use it. In other words, they just pay lip service and get frustrated with little or no results.

No, I am not talking about the nieve visualization and affirmation techniques that came flooding out of California in the nineteen sixties. I am talking about full blown visualization techniques of the Twenty First Century and that is a substantially different thing. We have moved on a massive pace by half century! We finally understand why these things work and exactly just how much discipline has to be applied to finding out your own specific formula for creating just the right visualization code that works for you.

Here a few tips to get you on the way. If you have list of say twenty goals that you are persistently visualizing into the future with, every night and every morning, experience tells me you will need to set aside perhaps as much as 30-60 minutes for each session. Yes, it takes that long to really create pictures in the minds-eye and hold them there long enough to impregnate the neurons and make those visualization into code in the bio-computer – software for the brain, right!

Some find it best to close their eyes other leave them open. Some find they create results when they relax, others find they create better results when they visualize in a fully conscious state. A formula that really works for novices is to play around with visualization and focus on one small goal using as many techniques as necessary to attain demonstrable results. Once you have proved the techniques works, you can move on to bigger and better goals. Over the years I have helped create many millionaires and world champions though the use of mind power and you can find out more about these powerful techniques in my latest book, The Eureka! Enigma. Have you bought your copy yet? www.eureka-enigma.com  and when you have read it, phone me for chat, about how I may help you even further!
